How long until I get a phone call from my case worker after submitting an application?

DPSS should contact you within 10 days. If you have not received a call nor a letter, please reach out to our CalFresh team at 559.278.6621.

What are verifications?

Verifications are personal documents that DPSS uses to prove that you are eligible. Examples of verification documents include:

  • Copy of ID
  • Proof of address
  • Pay stubs
  • Financial aid award letter and class schedule

I missed my phone call from DPSS. What do I do?

Depending on the information you have been provided by DPSS, if any, you will be asked to call your district office. The Fresno County office phone number is 1.855.832.8082.

I got a letter in the mail saying I missed my appointment, or I got a letter notifying me of an appointment after the date had already passed. What do I do?

Contact your caseworker listed on your letter to reschedule.
