Special Immigrant Juvenile Status

In collaboration with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center (ILRC), Immigrant Legal Defense (ILD), the California State University Chancellor's Office, Foundation for California Community Colleges, and the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office will host an informational webinar on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status.

Immigration attorneys from the ILRC and ILD will present information regarding Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. Special immigrant juvenile status (SIJS) is one of the most common immigration options for immigrant youth. SIJS is one pathway to a green card for young people under age 21 who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected by one or both of their parents. Many immigrant youths in the United States may be eligible to apply for lawful immigration status. This webinar will provide an overview of what special immigrant juvenile status is, who is eligible, the benefits it provides, how to apply, and where to go for help.
