ELM/EPT
The Entry Level Mathematics (ELM) and English Placement Test (EPT) exams determine what math and English classes you will be required to take at Fresno State. These tests MUST be fulfilled prior to your orientation date or else you will not be allowed to register for classes at orientation.
The EPT fee is $20; the ELM fee is $20
The ELM and EPT are required for all freshmen entering Fresno State. There are exemptions for students who qualify. A short list of exemptions are listed below, for additional exemptions check the Testing Services website.
