The Downing Planetarium and Museum

The Downing Planetarium is located just North of the Science Building on the CSUF campus. It has weekend shows for the general public and special shows for children from area schools. Other groups may arrange for meetings and special events.

In February of 2005 the Downing Planetarium Museum was added immediately behind the Planetarium. This facility holds many exhibits and provides additional space for special programs.

Collegian Newspaper

The Collegian is a regular student run publication that serves the Fresno State community on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Savemart Center

The Save Mart Center was ranked No. 24 in the world in attendance at concerts and programs during 2004 by the industry s leading magazine, making it the highest-attended collegiate facility. The 450,000-square- foot Save Mart Center is the largest privately financed project in the history of the 23-campus California State University system and the largest venue of this type in Central California. It will be able to accommodate spectators for sporting events, concerts, family shows, cultural events and other programs.

The center, managed by SMG, will be home court for Fresno State intercollegiate athletic teams and the Fresno Falcons Professional Hockey Club. More than a million spectators are expected to visit the facility each year.

Graduations, Fresno State Basket- ball and special events are all in the Savemart Center.
