Add/Drop Deadlines


Important!

Students may add classes without permission if space is available or via the Wait List process through Thursday, January 29. Beginning Friday, January 30, students can only add classes by using a permission number issued by the instructor. The final deadline to add a class with a permission number is Thursday, January 12.

Students may drop classes using the on-line system through Thursday, January12. Serious and compelling drop period begins Friday, January13.

 

Adding a Course

Students may add classes without permission if space is available or by the Wait-List process. Adding is only allowed by using a permission number issued by the instructor. No adds allowed. To appeal for a late add, a Record Adjustment Petition must be filed with the Admissions & Records office. Petition forms are available at the Admissions & Records Service Windows or on the website at www.fresnostate.edu/are.

Dropping a Course

Beginning January 15 /
Deadline February 12

Deadline April 14
Beginning April 15 /

Students may drop classes using the Web Registration system. No drop form or approvals are required. All drops must be of serious and compelling reason and will require the signature of the instructor and the chair of the department. The drop will be listed on the official University transcript with a "W" (Withdrawal) and will count toward the 18 unit limitation for undergraduates. All individual course drops are not allowed except for circumstances beyond the student's control. Secure a Drop/Withdrawal Form from Admissions & Records Service Windows.
