Cross Cultural and Gender Center

The Cross Cultural and Gender Center exists to contribute significantly to the continued development of a safe and welcoming environment for the Fresno State community. We foster meaningful dialogue and activism that works to eliminate racism, sexism, heterosexism, and other forms of oppression.

Q Clothing Closet

The Q Clothing Closet exists to provide FREE clothing to trans and gender-nonconforming folks, and anyone else who might need it. The clothing closet opens during scheduled pop-up shops that are announced under our Q Clothing Closet tab to your left!

Student Health and Counseling Center

The Student Health and Counseling Center is an organization that is recognized for its commitment to providing leadership for health services on campus, and contributing to the success of students and the university community by promoting lifelong healthy behaviors, and creating healthy environments. 

Report Discrimination, Harassment, or Retaliation

CSU Executive Order 1096 and Executive Order 1097 provides faculty, staff, students and third parties a procedure to file complaints alleging violations of the California State University (CSU) systemwide policy prohibiting Discrimination, Harassment, and Retaliation against Employees, Students, or Third Parties. This includes discrimination or harassment on the basis of Race/Color, National Origin/Ancestry, Marital Status, Religion, Gender/Sex, Gender Identify/Expression, Sexual Orientation, Disability, Military/Veteran Status, Medical Condition, Genetic Information, or Age.

Queer Talks Discussion Group

The Cross Cultural and Gender Center provides space for students, staff, and faculty to come together and share community. Queer Talks which is exclusive to anyone that identifies within the LGBTQ+ Community occurs virtually due to COVID 19.

When in-person classes resume, in-person Queer Talks will resume as well in our Pride Room, Thomas 109B. 

Pride Room

Visit us in the Pride Room, the LGBTQ+ identities centered room located in the Cross Cultural and Gender Center. You can find it in the Thomas Building room 109B. In the Pride Room, you can study, sleep, and meet new people. We post our upcoming events on our bulletin board and there are resources located in the room. We also provide free condoms, internal condoms, and lubricant for students to discreetly and anonymously take!

Bakersfield LGBTQ is dedicated to creating positive change in peoples lives through advocacy, education, social support and networking. 

Centro La Familia

Centro La Familia has served low-income families throughout Fresno County for 38 years by providing access to life sustaining resources. Services include health/wellness, family strengthening, victim services, policy/leadership development, and immigration

Community Link

Community Link has been providing services to the LGBT+ community since 1988. Their organization provides services to youth, families, and seniors. Community Link also hosts the annual Fresno Rainbow Pride parade. 

Community UCC 

 

Community United Church of Christ is an inclusive and progressive Christian church doing social justice, environmental faithfulness, interfaith collaboration and spiritual formation to help ourselves and others grow in faith, hope and love.

 

EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center

LGBTQ+ Resource Center provides supportive services to enhance the health and well being of individuals of all ages in the LGBTQ+ community. Serving all individuals in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, queer, HIV, and questioning community members in the Fresno County area.

Services include:

  • Access to resources in a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Peer Led Support Groups
  • Referrals to resources identified by the individual
  • Advocacy

First Congregational Church

First Congregational Church, also known as the Big Red Church, is an open and affirming congregation that identifies as LGBT+ friendly. 

Gay Central Valley

Gay Central Valley contributes to and enriches the cultural life and expression of LGBT+ persons through awareness and education.

GSA Network

Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) Network is an LGBT+ racial and gender justice organization that empowers and trains youth leaders to advocate, organize, and mobilize a movement for safe schools and healthier communities. 

LGBT Fresno

LGBT Fresno, and its affiliates, have been serving the LGBT+ community since 2004. They have local LGBT+ news, resources, and a blog. Their tagline is "For the community. By the community."

PFLAG Fresno

PFLAG is the nation's largest family and ally organization committed to advancing equality through support, education, and advocacy. PFLAG Fresno meets on the second Sunday of the month at 2 p.m. 

The LGBT Pink Panthers

The LGBT Pink Panthers Fresno is a civil rights movement and activist group that protects the interest and rights of all LGBT+ youth and adults from defamation. 

The Living Room

The Living Room encourages and supports the well-being and empowerment of persons infected, affected, and at risk of HIV/AIDS. The Living Room is a part of WestCare California.

Trans-E-Motion

Trans-E-Motion honors and celebrates the lives of transgender persons to bring about social change for the benefit of the transgender/transsexual community through activities and events that bring education, understanding, and support to all.

Peer Supporting Peers

Peer Supporting Peers is a group of Fresno State students that are trained to work with students that are in crisis one-on-one. Peers Supporting Peers is located at the Thomas Building 110A and is available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No appointment is required.

Trans Friendly Doctor

Julie Nicole is a trans-friendly physician at Central Valley OB/GYN who provides the following services: Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and Hysterectomies. They also refer out for the following reasons: Breast Reductions and Phalloplasty for Trans Men and Vaginoplasty for Trans Women
