African American Student Recognition Ceremony (Black Grad) 2021!

The Cross Cultural and Gender Center’s African American Programs and Leadership Development team would like to congratulate all of our graduates on their hard work and acheivements. 

To celebrate your graduation, we will be hosting the annual African American Student Recognition Ceremony and will be honoring the graduates of the classes of 2020 and 2021. The ceremony will be virtual. Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 8th! More information regarding the ceremony will be provided soon.

To register for the virtual ceremony and to receive your Kente cloth, please fill out the following form below. Registration closes Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Please make sure to submit your form before then. To access the registration form, please make sure you are signed in to your Fresno State account. Details on Kente cloth and regalia distribution will follow.

Black graduation happens every year in May during commencement season. Black graduation is open to any student that identifies as Black/African American/African/Black Diaspora. Registration for this event will be announced closer to graduation. Registration is required in order to be a part of the ceremony and receive graduation regalia and have your photo in the program.
