Dr. Victor B. Olivares, EDD
Dr. Victor B. Olivares currently serves in the Employer Relations Team and as liaison to the College of Social Sciences. He has earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and has been involved with business, industry, and government for over 35 years.
Dr. Olivares has served as Student Government Advisor/Student Activities, University Judicial Affairs Officer, Director of Title V, Summer Bridge Coordinator and EOP Counselor. He has developed CSU system-wide programs in recruiting and remediation; the programs have earned statewide, national and international awards and featured in the Lumina Foundation Practices with a Promise publication and the students featured in Time magazine.
Dr. Olivares currently serves on the Fresno Are Hispanic Foundation Board of Directors, is a Board member for the Fresno State Alumni Criminology Chapter, Board President for the Fresno National Alliance for Mental Illness, President of the Fresno State Latino Faculty and Staff Association, advisor to the Hispanic Business Student Association, and has served on various campus and community committees.
Dr. Olivares is a first-generation college graduate and worked alongside his family harvesting the fields in Fresno County. His parent's origins are from Mexico.
