Aleta Wolfe, MA, CSP
Aleta Wolfe serves as Career Counselor and liaison to the Lyles College of Engineering and College of Science and Mathematics. She is a student-focused career services professional and has been in the field of career development and experience-based learning for more than 30 years at Fresno State.
Aleta has been an active leader in the work-integrated learning profession having served at the board level and as President of the California Internship & Work Experience Association for two terms. She has also been an active committee member at Fresno State, as well as in the community, serving as Diplomat and Ambassador with the Clovis and Fresno Chambers of Commerce, mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, committee chair and committee member at Temple Beth Israel and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.
In 2013, Aleta was presented the H. Sanford Gum Service Award in recognition and appreciation for her many years of leadership and service to work-integrated learning. She also received the first annual Division of Student Affairs Beacon Award in 2008 for providing quality services with integrity and professionalism and, in 2006, the Fresno State Spirit of Service Award recognizing her exemplary commitment to community engagement.
Aleta earned an Associate of Arts from College of the Sequoias before transferring to Fresno State to earn her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Marketing option. While working full-time in the Career Development Center, Aleta earned her Master of Arts in Education - Counseling option, and Career Services Provider (CSP) training through the National Career Development Association.
Aleta and her husband David of 25 years have two children, Matthew (in his second year of community college) and Hannah (a high school senior). She enjoys being involved in community service, traveling, snorkeling, hiking, reading, playing games and spending time with family and friends.
