What Is CAN About?
The purpose of the Campus Advisors Network (CAN) is to establish monthly connections with our advising community, develop camaraderie, and share information to enhance the services we provide for students. All faculty and staff advisors are encouraged to attend as we continue to strengthen campus advising and promote student success.

2014–15 Outstanding Advisor Awards Nominations Now Open!
The Outstanding Advisor Awards are awarded annually to faculty and staff advisors who have demonstrated qualities associated with outstanding academic advising of students. The recipients will be honored at a Reception on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. in the University Dining Hall. All who nominate are invited to celebrate with those they nominated.
Any employee at Fresno State who serves as a faculty or staff advisor, or anyone who provides advising to students as part of his or her job duties is eligible for consideration. Detailed eligibility requirements are listed on the Information Sheet.
Faculty, staff, administrators, and current students are eligible to nominate individuals for this award. The nomination process is easy! Complete the online nomination form from the link below. At least one nomination must come from a current student. A minimum of three nominations, including one from a student, are needed to be considered eligible for nomination. Those receiving less than three will be sent a notification of nomination after the reception.
All nominations must be received by Monday, March 30th at 5pm. You may email your nomination to Kathy Dunbar at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Each recipient received an engraved trophy, a certificate of recognition signed by Interim Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Andrew Hoff and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, Carolyn V. Coon, and a $1,000 professional development stipend.
Congratulations to these outstanding advisors and to the 10 other faculty and staff advisors who received at least three nominations from colleagues and students and were honored with a certificate of recognition.
