What Is CAN About?
The purpose of the Campus Advisors Network (CAN) is to establish monthly connections with our advising community, develop camaraderie, and share information to enhance the services we provide for students. All faculty and staff advisors are encouraged to attend as we continue to strengthen campus advising and promote student success.

2013–14 Outstanding Advisor Awards
Three faculty and staff recipients of the 2013–14 Outstanding Advisor Awards were announced at the Campus Advisors Network's annual reception on May 1, 2014, in the University Dining Hall. The award, sponsored jointly by the provost and the vice president for Student Affairs, is given each May to facutly and staff advisors who have demonstrated qualities associated with outstanding academic advising of students during the academic year. The 2013–14 award recipients are:

Each recipient received an engraved trophy, a certificate of recognition signed by Interim Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs, Andrew Hoff and Interim Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students, Carolyn V. Coon, and a $1,000 professional development stipend.
Congratulations to these outstanding advisors and to the 10 other faculty and staff advisors who received at least three nominations from colleagues and students and were honored with a certificate of recognition.
