Merced Co. VAPA

The Merced Co. Visual And Performing Arts (VAPA) Academy is a four- week, all expenses paid, Residential summer school experience living and studying at California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). The purpose of the Merced Co. VAPA is designed for students to earn 5 to 10 elective credits in Visual And Performing Arts (A-G course). The class will focus on fine arts with an emphasis on a media approach to the elements and principles of arts. The program course will integrate lessons in perception, creative expression, historical and cultural heritage, as well as an evaluation to form a comprehensive approach to art that helps every student regardless of their learning style to think more creatively, make better decisions, even learn the art of self- discipline.
