California State University, Fresno is accepting admission applications from new upper-division transfer applicants only. The application filing period is August 1 – August 31, 2018.  Students can apply online at

Fresno State is an impacted campus, which occurs when a campus receives more qualified applicants than can be accommodated. Due to limited space availability, the minimum GPA requirement for admission is 2.75. In addition, admissions will be open to upper division transfers who complete an ADT by the end of fall 2018 and have completed the majority of their transfer units from one or more of the following schools:

  • Allan Hancock Community College
  • Clovis Community College
  • College of the Sequoias
  • Fresno City College
  • Hartnell Community College
  • Merced College
  • Modesto Junior College
  • Porterville College
  • Reedley College
  • West Hills Community College
  • West Hills College - Lemoore

An applicant must meet the admission GPA requirement with all transferable grades through summer 2018. Students who do not meet the GPA requirement at the time of review will NOT be considered for admission. Students who do meet the admission GPA can use fall 2018 in progress courses to ensure the Foundation area and/or 60 transferable unit minimum is met.

Please note: The postmarked deadline to turn in all required admission documents is Saturday, September 15, 2018.  Extensions will not be made to the deadline.

The Cal State site has additional information regarding CSU admission. Applicants are encouraged to pay close attention to document deadlines.
