Faculty Pledge Program
The Alcohol Safety Council’s Faculty Pledge Program is designed to provide participating faculty and staff members with appropriate material and information for students who may indicate they have a concern about the affect alcohol may be having on their academic and/or personal lives.
Faculty members who participate in the program pledge the following:
- To engage in open and honest discussions in the classroom with regard to promoting a culture of safe and responsible attitudes toward alcohol.
- To become familiar with university policies, as well as state and local laws regarding alcohol consumption and abuse. Please click on the links below to access information.
- To identify themselves with a Faculty Pledge sticker or magnet on their office door and identify appropriate resources for students regarding wellness, prevention, intervention and treatment.
It is our sincere hope this program will provide an outstanding resource for our students and will play a role in the continued movement toward improved wellness for our students and the campus community. If you have any questions or you are a faculty member interested in participating in the ASC faculty pledge, please contact Dr. Greg Thatcher, ASC Faculty Pledge Program Director at: firstname.lastname@example.org or 278-8807.
