Academic Probation and Disqualification
Undergraduate students whose campus or cumulative grade point average (GPA) falls below a 2.00 are placed on probation (see chart below). If a student is currently on returning on probation status and does not meet their contract, they will be placed on academic disqualification and dismissed from the University.
Probation: Student with a GPA less than a 2.00 in their campus or cumulative GPA. To maintain enrollment, students are required to maintain campus & cumulative GPA above the disqualification range listed in student level chart below.
Returning on Probation:Student with a disqualified standing, but allowed to continue into the following semester. Required to meet contract to maintain enrollment.
Academic Disqualification: Student who has not met contract or has been on Academic Disqualification in the past. Therefore, student is academically disqualified and dismissed from the University.
Good Standing:Student with a campus and cumulative GPA of a 2.00 or higher.

Undergraduate students placed on academic disqualification and dismissed at the end of the semester are encouraged to contact the University Advising Center in Joyal Administration Building, room 224 or call (559) 278-1787 regarding the Steps for Readmission.
Graduate students placed on academic disqualification at the end of the semester should contact the Division of Graduate Studies in the Thomas Administration Building, room 132 or call (559) 278-2448.
