Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies

Minor in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies

An interdisciplinary minor in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies makes an exciting addition to any major or career path.  The minor is individually planned by the student in consultation with a Women's Studies faculty advisor. 

All Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies majors/double majors/minors must complete 4 core courses (12 units). This includes: 

  • WS 143 - Feminist Theory (offered in the fall) 
  • WS 103 History of Feminism (offered in the spring) 
  • WS 153 Feminist Research Methods (offered in the fall) 
  • WS 175s - Senior Seminar: Feminist Activism (offered in the spring)

The other 8 units must be selected from a list of approved courses.Courses from this list may satisfy General Education requirements as appropriate. See the Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies minor requirements in the university's General Catalog.
