Humanics

In preparing leaders for service to humanity, the College of Social Sciences works with hundreds of nonprofit community benefit organizations (CBOs) in Central California to recruit, educate, and place students in meaningful internships ranging from educational and recreational programs for youth to health and human services to cultural arts to faith-based and international programs to environment, animals, and wildlife conservation.  Participation in these opportunities often leads directly to responsible professional careers in CBOs across the nation, as the nonprofit community benefit sector is one of the fastest growth sectors of our national economy.  Humanics at Fresno State offers an applied, project-based curriculum (based on the R.E.A.L.model) which leads to a certificate in administration and leadership for community benefit organizations, open to al students of any major, and provides our alumni with exciting professional opportunities after graduation.  For more information, visit http://www.fresnostate.edu/ah.
