New Students

Plan your schedule to graduate in four years. As part of the planning process, it is highly recommended that you consult regularly with your major advisor and/or advising services advisor. Students must meet all degree requirements as specified in their catalog. There are general education, major, and university requirements.

Major Advising

The Department of Criminology does online advising to help streamline the process of students receiving timely advising assistance. It is a requirement of the Department of Criminology that students complete Criminology Online Student Advising before meeting with an advisor. If you do not see this under My Organizations, please contact the Department of Criminology.

Online advising is available through Blackboard:
1.  "My Organizations"
2. Select "Criminology_Student_Advising"

Please bring in the following when meeting with an advisor:

-Current DPR (MyFresnoState)
-Certificate from Criminology Student Advising (Blackboard)
-Pick up student file folder in the Criminology Department (S2-159)

Be reminded that major advising should be acquired during the fall and spring semesters. Advisor availability is limited during winter and summer session.
