Department of Child and Family Science

Child and Family Science offers a unique set of programs that include Child Development and Family Science programs that reflect our interdisciplinary foundation from home economics.

Through our programs and advising services we demonstrate the highest commitment to excellence and student success.

Our dedicated and award-winning faculty has built responsive, relevant programs that meet students' professional and personal goals. Faculty seek to engage and challenge students both inside and outside the classroom.

Through rigorous coursework, experiential and service learning, internships, research, and practica, students connect classroom experiences with the day-to-day world of work.

Research activities and involvement in community settings give students opportunities to practice and refine skills under the mentorship of faculty and field professionals.

We invite you to meet our faculty and staff and examine our programs in Child Development and Family Science.
