Research Internships
The California State University (CSU) in partnership with Department of Energy national research laboratories and the NASA Ames Research Center is announcing the 2008 Science Teacher and Researcher (STAR) pre-service science teacher summer research program. Please click here for further information.

This program places students (undergraduates, and credential students) in paid internships in Science, Math, and Technology at any of several different locations throughout the nation. The participants in the program have decided on a teaching career in one of these disciplines. Students work with scientists or engineers on projects related to the laboratories' research programs. Please click here for further information.
Early Field Experience

Students have the opportunity to participate as a volunteer or paid teaching assistant in a middle
or high school science or math classroom so that they can begin to learn the craft of teaching
before they are admitted into the credential program. Student who receive financial
compensation can earn between $10-$12 an hour depending on the financial support that is
available. Eligible students are those who plan to (a) teach science or math and (b) to transfer to
Fresno State (or are currently Fresno State students). Contact: Jaime Arvizu – 559-278-5173 or jaimea@csufresno.edu
