Fall 2003 Conference Information
Below was information regarding the Fourth Annual Conference held in September, 2003.

The Renaissance Group is pleased to host its 4th annual fall conference in Washington, DC September 24-26, 2003. This yearly gathering gives TRG members opportunities for its presidents, vice presidents of academics/provosts, and deans to meet with key national level people on education trends and issues.
The theme of the conference will be Fostering Leaders for Our Nation's Schools and feature speakers nationally known as leaders in education. Sessions will include/address:
- meetings on the national Reading First initiative,
- a grant-writing session,
- orientation for administrators new to TRG member institutions,
- information on the Teacher Work Sample
- a reception with invited members of the U.S. Congress
- regional or statewide meetings of TRG member institutions
- the TRG Strategic Plan implementation status
- quality assessments
- a Presidential Commission meeting
On Friday, September 26, there will be a joint luncheon with the Teacher Education Council of State Colleges and Universities (TECSCU).
The room rate for conference attendees will be $185; reservations need to be made by September 9. Contact the hotel at 202-429-1700 and please be sure to specify you are attending The Renaissance Group conference in order to get the rate. The deadline to reserve a room is Tuesday, September 9, 2003.
