Welcome to the Rehabilitation Counseling Program!
We are a nationally ranked and accredited Master's-level program in Rehabilitation Counseling. Our vision revolves around "changing the face of human service," achieved by provide students with opportunities for exposure and training in practical, real life workings of rehabilitation.

Program Outcomes
The Rehabilitation Counseling Master of Science program at the CSU-Fresno had a regularly scheduled site review by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) www.core-rehab.org February 25-27, 2009. The program is fully accredited by CORE until 2017 when the program will be re-reviewed. The program is a 60 unit program that admits approximately 50 students per year. We admit students for both fall and spring semesters. The Program was recently ranked 13th in the Nation by the U.S. News and World Report. Student outcomes are evaluated each year using field-site evaluations and learning objective rubrics as a part of the overall program evaluation.
Currently, the graduate programs has a total of 93 students. The program has 3 full-time tenure-track faculty and assisting part-time adjunct faculty who teach the CORE accredited curriculum. The average instructor rating for rehabilitation counseling courses for the 2010-2011 academic year is 4.50. The current grade point average of the students in the program is 3.72.
For the 2010-2011 academic year, a total of 34 students graduated from the program. All students passed their clinical coursework (100%).
Forty percent of the students are from underrepresented groups, including people with disabilities. The Program has a total of six RSA training grants that generate a total of $491,865 each year in student support in the form of tuition and scholarships.
The state of California recently passed a licensing process for counselors, the Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Rehabilitation Counseling students can take additional electives toward this licensure.
