The Mountain West Conference announced Sept. 24 that the 2020 football season will kick-off on Oct. 24 with each school playing an eight-game schedule. A MW Football Championship game is slated for Dec. 19. Any return to competition is subject to state, county and local approvals. 

The Mountain West Conference previously announced on Aug. 10, the indefinite postponement of all fall sports due to the ongoing challenges with the COVID-19 pandemic.
