Summer 2001

  • Review and selection of Strategic Planning Goals & Priorities for assignment to themes
  • Identification of evidentiary indicators of themes and of related goals and priorities
  • Establish the WASC Accreditation Website and design an electronic portfolio with references to other university websites, in which may be found requisite information (e.g., WASC Stipulated Policies and Statements) and data (e.g., Annual Budget Book)
  • Inventory of current campus data collection, on going analysis, and of institutional research capability
  • Preliminary draft of detailed implementation plan for self-study proposal
  • Revision, as necessary, of the self-study proposal based on WASC Commission Staff feedback and the Proposal Review Team critique.

Fall 2001

  • Determination of data measurements for evidentiary indicators
  • Design of instruments and mechanisms for collecting and analyzing additional data
  • Examination of internal support structures and systems and their alignment and efficacy in support of the accreditation standards and self-study initiatives
  • Deciding the focus of reflective essays for the Institutional Capacity Review and the Educational Effectiveness Review
  • Start Loading exhibits and existing data on electronic portfolio
  • Finalization of the draft detailed action plan for implementing the accreditation proposal

Winter 2002

  • Review, modification, approval, and implementation of the self-study proposal action plan

Spring 2002

  • Initiate data collection (as appropriate)
  • Test and refine Electronic Portfolio for ease of use
  • Alter and align (as needed) internal support structures and systems
  • Outline the reflective essays for Institutional Capacity Review

Summer 2002

  • Conduct preliminary analyses of initial data & refine the processes
  • Outline the elements of the Institutional Capacity Review Report

Fall 2002

  • Continue data collection and analyses with interactive feedback
  • Outline Reflective Essays for Educational Effectiveness Review
  • Meet with WASC Commission Staff for consultation

Spring 2003

  • Communicate with WASC Preparatory Review Team
  • Compose Reflective Essays for Institutional Capacity Review
