Fall Applicants

Prior to October

Download the Fresno State Transfer Planning Guide and read it carefully.

Make an appointment to see an Admissions Counselor at Fresno State. We also send representatives to Fresno City, Reedley College, College of the Sequoias, Bakersfield College, Porterville College, West Hills College, Modesto JC, Merced CC, and SJ Delta College. Please check with the Transfer Center to see when Fresno State will be on campus. If you live out of the area, please view our travel schedule to see if we are coming to a transfer day near you.

Visit www.csumentor.edu and set up an account. Remember this information!

October

Log on to www.csumentor.edu and start your application to Fresno State. Need assistance? If you live in the Fresno Area, check with your counselor to see when we are hosting an Application Workshop on your campus. You may also contact us in our office at 559.278.2048. The Application Filing Period is October 1 - November 30. Click here for more information on when to send transcripts.

Submit the online Fresno State Scholarship application at www.csufresno.edu/scholarships. The filling period is October 1-February 28.

Submit your application now! The deadline for transfers is November 30!

Once you have applied, you will receive a confirmation in the mail with your student ID number. Use this ID number to...

Establish your Fresno State email account and check it weekly. This is how we will communicate with you about your application, financial aid, and scholarships.

December

Fill out a transcript request at your current college to send us a copy with Spring work-in-progress. Click here for more information on when to send transcripts.

If are planning on taking any courses in the Spring or Summer, you will not have heard any information about your application from us at this point. This is because Fresno State processes transfer applications very differently from other campuses. We complete a full evaluation of all your coursework, called a DARS, and send it to you prior to your first advising session (Dog Days). To do this, we must verify your spring work-in-progress, and therefore cannot start admitting students until January, regardless of your application date.

January

Submit the FAFSA Free Application for Federal Student Aid online at www.fafsa.ed.gov during the priority filing period, January 1-March 2.

Continue to check your Fresno State email, and begin to check your Fresno State Portal at my.csufresno.edu. You can see the status of your application on this website (you login with your email address and password).

Admitted? Welcome to the Bulldog Family! Visit our admitted student section on this website.

February-March

Apply for Housing if you are planning to live on campus.

Attend Preview Day at Fresno State. Meet your future professors, classmates, and get a feel for the campus.

April-May

Register for Dog Days New Student Orientation. This is when you will meet with your Academic Advisor for the first time and select your classes for the Fall. The earlier you attend, the earlier you can select your classes! New Student Orientation is MANDATORY for new all students.

Complete all in-progress or planned courses.

Request a General Education Certification.

June-July-August

Submit a final, official Transcript to the Admissions Office in June. If you plan on taking courses in the Spring, you will submit a transcript once those courses are completed as well.

Attend Dog Days New Student Orientation and register for your classes.

See you at Welcome Week!
