The Donald G. Larson Collection on International Exposition and Fairs, 1851-1940, contains one of the larger accumulations of material on this subject in the Untied States. The collection has been a research source for much of the current inquiry on these important events.

The great interest in all items relating to international expositions has encouraged us to compile and issue this latest contribution on the holdings of the Larson Collection. We hope that researchers will find the annotations to these postcards of value in locating a specific view of an exposition building or helping to establish the relationship of one particular building to a group of buildings or to open spaces, and so forth.

If our readers can supply emendations or corrections, we would be pleased to receive them.

Copies of these images may be obtained through black and while or colored photocopies, black and white photographs, or colored slides. Copies of the index may be obtained at cost.
