Tosha Giuffrida - Learning Center/SupportNet Coordinator

Tosha has worked in the Learning Center since she joined Fresno State in 2002. Currently she is the Coordinator of SupportNet. She has a Masters in Business Administration and over 10 years experience in customer service and in managing business programs in companies such as the world-renowned Four Seasons Resort in Carlsbad and Gottschalks Corporate Office in Fresno. She believes that every student has the potential for success and hopes to connect students with the right services and programs for the most positive college experience. Tosha also is adjunct faculty in the Business department with the new Willow International Center. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, two young children and dog,

 

William Hardaway - Academic Support Coordinator

William Hardaway - Academic Support Coordinator

William earned his B.A. in Philosophy with a pre-law emphasis from California State University, Fresno. He got his start in student affairs at the College of the Sequoias working as a Program Assistant with the Puente Project. While earning his B.A. at CSU, Fresno he worked with the Maximizing Academic Potential project as a Undergraduate Project Manager and Counseling Intern. He is currently working toward a Master's degree in Education Administration.

Idalia Morgutia - Learning Center Administrative Assistant

Idalia began her career at Fresno State in the La Raza Studies department.  Following a few years with the Educational Opportunity Program, she joined the Learning Center staff.  Idalia’s responsibilities in the Learning Center include the coordination of day to day procedures to ensure that the Center runs smoothly and students have a positive experience during their visit to the Learning Center.  She is dedicated to the success of all Fresno State students and will go out of her way to help a student in need.

 

Karen Lowe - SupportNet Administrative Assistant

Karen began her career at Fresno State in March of 1991. Due to her strong accounting background, she was initially hired by the Accounting Office as an Account Clerk. Looking for more of a challenge that exercised her strong organization and people skills, she later accepted a position within the College of Social Sciences as a Department Secretary. During the next 13 years she worked as an administrative assistant in many of the departments within the social sciences such as Women's Studies, Anthropology and Economics. Recently, Karen left the academic field behind her by accepting a position within Student Affairs where her primary goal is to work with the student community in order to increase retention and graduation rates while promoting student success.

Janene Avedisian - SupportNet Adviser

Janene received her B.A. in Liberal Studies from Fresno State in 2007 and completed her graduate degree in Counseling and Student Services: Higher Education in December 2009.  She enjoys cooking, traveling, water sports and spending time with her family.
