Central Valley Internal Coherence Network Leadership Team
Dr. Virginia “Ginny” Boris serves as a Director of the Welty Center, and teaches at the master's and doctoral level in the Kremen School of Education and Human Development. Boris launched the Internal Coherence Project with the support of Richard Elmore, Harvard Graduate School of Education, and SERP in October 2012. In 2016, the Clovis Unified School District opened Virginia R. Boris Elementary School honoring Ginny's 38 year career in Clovis USD and her contributions to public education.
Dr. Linda Hauser, Associate Professor, serves in the Department of Educational Leadership in the Kremen School of Education at Fresno State University. She has developed a school-based peer observation program based on Elizabeth City's and Richard Elmore's Instructional Rounds protocols. This protocols have enriched the work of school faculties which are striving for higher levels of teacher collaboration and internal coherence.
Marc Johnson, Co-Director, Welty Center was named AASA’s National Superintendent of the Year for 2012, a well-deserved honor acknowledging his service as the Superintendent of Sanger Unified School District. Under his guidance, Sanger USD was recognized for its excellence moving over ten under-performing schools from Program Improvement to awards for excellence.
Dr. Mabel Franks, instructs aspiring administrator in the masters program at Fresno State University, creates and teaches on-line Fresno Pacific University CPD courses, supports the Restorative Justice initiatives, coordinates Welty events and holds leadership workshops, valley-wide.
