School Partnership Cohorts and Teacher Residency Program
We are a partnership-based program. Central Valley Partnerships for Exemplary Teachers offers a collaborative approach to teacher education.
Partnerships are daytime programs that use district facilities for university coursework and field experiences. This allows the candidates and university faculty to become part of the culture of the school and the cycle of the school year. Teacher candidates move through the program as a cohort.
We have Multiple Subject partnership cohorts in the following districts:
- Central (ECE)
- Fresno (Teacher Residency Program)
Not all partnerships are available for a Spring start.

At Fresno State we want to tailor your program of study to your specific interests and needs. We offer complementary programs in:

- Special Education: Work with students with special needs.
- Bilingual Authorization: Develop specialized strategies for working with English Language Learners.
- Liberal Studies Blended: Start the credential program as an undergraduate.
