Teaching Credential and Graduate/Advanced Credential
Thank you for your interest in one of our many Credential and Graduate programs!
We are certain you will find what you are looking for. Each program is designed to prepare candidates to serve effectively as skilled practitioners and as educational leaders.
Teaching Credential Program Applications
The three basic teaching credentials are Multiple Subject Credential (Elementary School), Single Subject Credential (Middle and High School), and Education Specialist Credential (Special Education). A basic teaching credential may be earned following completion of an undergraduate degree or in conjunction with undergraduate studies.
Graduate/Advanced Credential Programs Applications
Graduate Education Programs focus on providing leadership in central California's diverse society by preparing education leaders for a new millennium. Post-baccalaureate advanced credential and master's degree programs are primarily focused on (1) preparation and enhancement of teachers and other educational leaders and (2) preparation of human service leaders who function in a variety of human development roles in both public and private sectors.
Teaching and Advanced Credential Applications
When a Teaching Credential or Advanced Credential Program has been completed you must then apply for your credential through Fresno State in the Education Student Services Center. Your application will then be submitted to California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. The CCTC will NOT accept an application unless it has been submitted through Fresno State.
During your participation in the Teaching Credential and Graduate programs, additional forms may be required.
