The Bluegrass Review on 90.7 KFSR
Sundays at 7:00 PM
From bluegrass classics to the current wave, The Bluegrass Review is public radio's authoritative home for bluegrass. This nationally syndicated program airs on over 60 stations across the country, and you'll find it on 90.7 KFSR Sunday nights at 7:00 PM. Host Phil Nussbaum brings a different perspective to the music, with his unique theme programs and segments, features on Bluegrass history and in-depth interviews. It's a fast paced, hour long trip through the world of Bluegrass to cap off your weekend. You can find out more information about Bluegrass Review online at www.bluegrassreview.com.

This week on The Bluegrass Review:
03/13/10 - Our show opens with a couple of new bluegrass songs. Then, the Gem of Bluegrass segment muses over the evolution of bluegrass into a concert music. Later, great banjo stylist Alan Munde tells us about his method of composition. Then, it’s more happy sounding sad songs. We’re starting to think this type of song is one of bluegrass music’s great contributions to world music.

About the host:
Producer and host Phil Nussbaum brings a wealth of expertise to the program. He holds a Ph.D. in Folklore from Indiana University, teaches aspiring players and radio producers at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota, and has hosted bluegrass program on public radio stations nationwide for many years.
