Assistantship Application and Descriptions (PDF)
An assistantship is a form of financial assistance provided to students through part-time academic employment. Students will perform tasks for a faculty member. Students will assist a professor with his or her research.
In the early 1980's a number of endowed student assistantships were established through the Viticulture and Enology Research Center (VERC) at California State University, Fresno with funds received from industry donors. The principal earns interest to support several undergraduate and graduate assistantships for viticulture and/or enology students.
An annual call for applications occurs each spring. Applications are available in the Viticulture and Enology building on campus or online.
Assistantships involve part-time and/or full-time work through VERC during the following fiscal year (July - June).
Applications must have upper-class status in the Viticulture and Enology program. Awards are based on criteria set by donors, student's major, area of interest, funds and funds available.
