Brief Introductory Statement
In November 2017, Hal Huffsmith joined the viticulture and enology team as the Viticulture
and Enology Industry Liaison. Under the direction of the Dean of the Jordan College
of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Hal will provide support to the incoming
Viticulture and Enology department chair and research director, and to faculty, staff,
and students. His responsibilities will include collaborating with faculty to identify
research goals, assisting with identifying potential industry partners and funding,
and working to identify internship opportunities for students and graduates. Hal was
formerly with Trinchero Family Estates and currently serves on the Viticulture and
Enology Industry Advisory Board.
