The Fresno State Plant Science Club has been busy with various activities this year including, but not limited to, helping at the Valley Farm at Chaffee Zoo, holding plant sales on campus and working on their crop project planting various vegetables by the Horticulture Unit.

Calif Armenian Home

Plant Science Club, California Women for Agriculture (CWA), Fowler/Lone Star 4-H, and Sanger High School Interact Club members helped the Ani Guild decorate various Christmas trees at the California Armenian Home to create a festive atmosphere for the residents.  Each tree was unique with its different ornaments, bows, lights and ribbons.  They provided pizza and cookies to thank everyone for their service. 11/29/14

 

PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE

Plant Science Club delegates to the 2014 ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting in Long Beach noted were privileged to share their 1st place presentation with President Castro.  He listened intently as Armando Guzman highlighted ag-related leadership activities, club development, fundraising and a wide variety of community service projects from the previous year in competition with 14 other prestigious schools, including Texas A&M, Ohio State University and University of Arkansas.  The President encouraged them to keep him apprised of they how fare in future competitions.
