Terry named as Gibson Farm Market interim manager

(Jan. 26, 2021) – The Fresno State Gibson Farm Market recently welcomed Patty Terry as its interim manager to replace former manager Jeremy Lewis, who left in mid-January to take a produce buyer position at FreshKo Produce Company.

Terry, an operations manager at the campus Kennel Bookstore since 2019, originally joined the bookstore in 2006 as a floor supervisor. She also worked prior as a retail manager locally at Gottschalks and Wonderland Collectibles and as a restaurant manager at Taco Bell.

Growing up near Ann Arbor, Mich., she has family agricultural ties and grew vegetables that were sold to local grocery stores and a farm market as a youth.

Her favorite items at the campus market are pepperoni sticks and cheddar cheese – among hundreds of items that students produce year-round on the 1,000-acre University Agricultural Laboratory and its 22 units.

She also enjoys cooking and spending time her family.

Lewis became the manager of the farm market in April 2016 after previously serving locally as a produce team leader at Whole Foods Market.

In his new position, he will work in purchasing and procurement at its Fresno location with a host of suppliers, farmers, independent grocery stores and specialty markets, primarily in Central and Northern California.
