Jordan Research Center will bridge academic research and practical education
As the flagship university in the top agricultural region in the world, Fresno State is a fitting home for a world-class research center to discover and investigate the most advanced concepts and practices of agriculture, food and natural resources. The new Jordan Research Center will foster collaboration between some of the brightest minds in agriculture, engineering, science and mathematics. The 30,000-square-foot facility is slated for groundbreaking this spring, reinventing Fresno State as a leading research institution for decades to come.
Agriculture Commission gathers input in preparing to meet with President Castro May 9
President Joseph I. Castro's Commission on the Future of Agriculture has been meeting monthly since the president established it last fall. At a recent campus forum commission members met with faculty and staff from the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology to gain input on how to enhance agricultural programs at Fresno State.
