Rotation Summary

The Fresno State dietetic internship will accept 11 students into the program annually. The program fulfills the core competencies for the accreditation council for education in nutrition and dietetics (ACEND) current standards. The program curriculum rotation sites are listed below and offer a minimum of 1,000 supervised practice hours. However, once admitted to the program, one student will be offered the option to participate in a specialized pathway option that includes the core competency standards in a rotation line up that is unique for the career path of consulting dietetics and/or long term care career field. After all student have accept their appointments to the program, the program director will host a meeting to explain further this optional track available for one of its current students. Student interns will then be given an opportunity to express interest and apply for the one spot in the specialized pathway option.  In the event there is no student interest in the specialty pathway, the dietetic internship director will appoint a current student to the pathway.  Below is a rotation summary of BOTH the main track for ten student interns and the one specialized track for one student intern.
