FFA Field Day:

April 18th, 2017

The Quarter Horse Unit will participate in the 2017 FFA (Future Farmers of America) State Finals Field Day. Every year, the Quarter Horse Unit participates in the light horse judging competition.

This competition allows students to participate in judging light horses in halter classes and performance classes. Not only do the FFA students have to judge, but have to give reasons to a judge on how they placed a class, the way they did.

The FFA Field Day event not only allows students to participate in light horse judging, but many other contests as well that range from other judging events to public speaking events. This FFA Field Day, is one of the largest in the state of California and is an amazing way to promote the college of agriculture at Fresno State. We, the Quarter Horse Unit hope that this year will be a great year and put on a great judging contest for the FFA students of California.
