Video and Web Conferencing at Fresno State

Zoom, Fresno State's new video and web conferencing tool, is now available to all students, faculty, and staff. Zoom allows for video, audio, and screen sharing between up to 200 participants. It can be used from any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, and it works on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices. Zoom also works with rooms equipped for video conferencing such as Polycom, etc. Any Fresno State user can initiate a video or audio meeting, allowing Zoom to be used for any online meeting, whether between two or many people. Anyone in the world can join a Zoom meeting, but only a host can start/schedule meetings.

Can I record a Zoom video to make available online?

 Yes! This short video will show you how to record a Zoom session. The video can be shared with box, or with your Fresno State streaming server account.

What is a Zoom webinar?

Zoom Video Webinar allows you to broadcast a Zoom meeting to up to 10000 view-only attendees. It includes registration with custom questions, attendee lists, and Q&A chat ability for attendees. To schedule a Webinar, please contact the Technology Service Desk.

Where can I get hands on training?

 Hands on training is available through the DISCOVERe Hub located in the library. You can find more information here.
