| Graduate students are a dynamic part of California State University, Fresno. We offer graduate degrees in a great breadth of fields—47 including 44 master's degrees, an educational specialist degree, and two doctoral degrees at present. Programs are offered in the traditional scholarly fields of the arts and humanities and in the sciences. We also offer a number of programs specifically geared for those in professional, practice-oriented careers—everything from education and business to health and the social sciences. |
What's New
- IMPORTANT POLICY CHANGE AFFECTING ALL GRADUATE STUDENTS
- Effective with the Spring 2012 semester, university policy will require all graduate students to maintain continuous enrollment at the university through regular enrollment until the awarding of the degree.
- HOODING
- Hooding for Masters and Doctoral students will be decentralized for this year’s graduates. A more personalized ceremony for master’s graduates is planned to take place at the college/ school or department convocation providing the opportunity for thesis and project chairs to hood the graduate. Doctoral graduates will be hooded at commencement ceremonies on Saturday morning emphasizing the importance of their accomplishments before a larger audience. Doctoral students will also be hooded by their respective dissertation chairs.
