Title(s): Hot Vagina A. Hot Vagina The text above is transcribed from the singing of "Little Head" and was recorded on 9 Oct 2004.
The song "Hot Vagina" has been collected by folklorists and is found in Ed Cray's The Erotic Muse 2nd ed. on pg. 290. Cray fails to identify the tune for the jingle which is "When the Bloom is on the Sage". The oldest recorded version is of Jim Hitchcock by Joe Hickerson in Oct 1962. Jim recognized this as a parody of the Ralston Purina Song which he sings right after he sings "Hot Vagina". Ivy T. on 19 Feb 2005 also sang this song to the "I've Been Working On the
Railroad" tune. The song below was originally sung to the tune of the jingle of the Shredded Ralston Cereal from the Tom Mix radio program. Listen to the jingle and read the text here. The "Hot Vagina" tune from the Tom Mix radio program is "When the Bloom is on the Sage" which was written by the "Happy Chappies" - Nat Vincent and Fred Howard in 1931.
Current texts online list the tune as "The Yellow Rose of Texas". Here is an example text from http://www.clevelandhash.com/hotvagina.html on 2005.09 |
