NOTES [58 words]: This song probably had a very short life. Armored cruisers didn't come into existence until well after the American Civil War, and the U. S. was slow to build a navy in that time, so it took many more years to build up a squadron. And then the Dreadnought Revolution and the battlecruiser made them obsolete; they were gone after World War One. - RBW
