Begun in 1995, the Archives already contain more than 3000 folklore items,
each described in a way which allows access to folklore genres, contexts,
informants and collectors. Our standard form was borrowed (with their kind
permission) from Utah State University in Logan, and received some minor
editorial changes which are my sole responsibility.
Collecting is on-going, and if you would like to submit something, just contact Dr. David G. Engle. To see a Sample Collection, click here (4.7 MB .pdf), or you can download our Collector's Guide. If you are interested in more information on collecting and collections, consult our short Guide to Collecting Guides. We hope to computerize the archives, so come back and view the progress!
