Building Safety Coordinator
Building Safety Coordinators (BSC) are appointed for each building, and are the primary points of contact and coordination for emergency planning and orderly evacuations. BSC's are responsible for coordinating efforts of various Department Safety Coordinators in a particular building to develop and implement evacuation plans in consultation with the Department of Public Safety, and execute evacuation orders as needed.
After an evacuation is completed, the BSC will be responsible for notifying emergency responders of building occupants requiring assistance or rescue.
