The following are Fresno State's Department of Mathematics' other programs.
Student Workshop: Learn more about the mathematics enrichment modules based on content topics (i.e. fractions, decimals, place value, multiplication). These one day a week sessions (for eight weeks) are designed to provide systematic learning for students covering the content standards in California mathematics frameworks.
Teacher Workshop: There will be a parallel teacher workshop for teachers to learn the effective ways of systematically teaching these concepts through proven methods such as Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) and problem-solving. Teachers will learn by observing, reflecting, discussing, planning and practice teaching these lessons.
A program funded by the National Science Foundation that provides scholarships to talented low-income students who major in mathematics. All activities organized under this program's umbrella are open to all math majors.
A scholarship program available for students who are in the Integrated Mathematics Credential option in BS degree in Mathematics. Each year up to 20 students will be selected as teaching scholars.
