Central California’s San Joaquin Valley is one of the largest agricultural regions in the world and is home to more than 3.4 million people. The region holds a promising future of tremendous growth with a population that is expected to more than double by 2050.  As the population drastically increases, California’s heartland faces a unique challenge in meeting the health needs of some of the nation’s most diverse residents.  In the San Joaquin Valley, health professionals who are central to providing quality health services, come in short supply.
