The Physics Department at Fresno State studies astronomical phenomena using the Hubble Space Telescope and its own remotely controlled observatory in the Sierras, conducts research in solid state and high energy physics, including one of two CSU programs using the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, and has an active program in Biomedical Physics.
