The Departments and Facilities of the College of Science and Mathematics
The seven departments of the College are housed in four buildings on the Fresno State Campus. Additional facilities include:
- The Downing Planetarium and Space Museum in the Department of Physics hosts thousands of local area children and visitors each year.
- The Department of Justice Crime Laboratory supports the Forensic Science program in the Department of Chemistry.
- The Moss Landing Marine Laboratory, located on the Central Coast, supports degree programs in marine biology.
Research Centers and Institutes descrbes the collaborative research programs hosted by the College that combine both University and regional resources. The Centers and Institutes are generally cross-disciplinary and focus on problems of regional and national interest.
