Undergraduate Programs and Information

The Chemistry Department provides a variety of undergraduate  training in chemistry including an ACS recognized BS degree, a BA degree designed for pre-profesional students, a minor, an option for the popular natural science degree, and a variety of general education and liberal studies courses. 

These programs help students planning professional careers in chemistry, biochemistry, and allied professions, for those contemplating graduate work for advanced degrees, for those planning careers in the health professions, and for teachers of chemical and physical sciences.

Graduates from the Chemistry Department have pursued graduate study and professional degrees in nationally and internationally recognized research institutions, medical schools, and pharmacy schools.

Graduate Study in Chemistry

The Master of Science degree program in Chemistry is designed for students with a broad array of career goals. Our program can help students who are a) preparing for entry into a doctoral program or professional school, b) planning on a career in the private sector or at a state/federal laboratory or c) interested in teaching at the community college level.

Our program offers a unique combination of high quality, innovative research opportunities and exceptional mentoring by our faculty.
