Business Advising and Student Experiences (BASE)


The academic advisors at the Craig School of Business Advising Center help business students identify and schedule appropriate courses necessary to satisfy university, business school, and option graduation requirements. The office also helps students with various administrative issues including declaring a business option, articulation of courses taken at other universities, clearing prerequisites to allow enrollment in restricted courses, and guiding students regarding academic probation (including readmission).

The Craig School of Business Academic Advisors are experiencing long wait times for appointments (between 2-3 weeks). Please email them directly should you have any questions. Please note that email responses are not immediate. They will be responded to in-between and after schedueled appointments. Please allow 3-5 BUSINESS days for a response.

Business Advising and Student Experiences Handbook

Community College Articulation Sheet
Intended for students who are looking to take their Pre-Business or Fashion Merchandising courses outside of Fresno State at a local California Community College. If you are unable to find the California Community College you are planning on attending, please use www.assist.org to find the equivalent course.

All campus forms can be found online through the Registrar's office website. The only exception is the Option Contract, which can be found on the CSB Advising Center website. Check out Admissions, Records and Evaluations for more forms.  Click here to access the forms.

Option Contract
The option contract form is used to declare your option once students have completed their Pre-Business courses. 
Note: All students must complete all Pre-Business courses and have a 2.25 Campus and Cumulative GPA to submit the option contract.

Advising Services

Robin Harper 
Pronouns: He/Him
Academic Advisor

Experience: Robin has worked for the Craig School of Business since spring 2013. Prior to joining the Craig School of Business, he worked in sales with the Fresno Grizzlies and in a CPA firm called Bandy and Associates. Robin is an Undocu Ally. 

Education: Robin obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in 2012 and a Master of Business Administration at Fresno State in 2023.

Personally: Robin has a number of hobbies and activities. He spends most of his time outside of work playing basketball, wakeboarding, reading, and drawing. He also enjoys playing board games and cards with friends.

Lily Oceguera
Pronouns: She/Her
Lead Academic Advisor

Experience: Lily has been on campus both as a student and professional since 1996.  Her previous advising experience comes from working as a Graduation Coach with the Title V-HSI program, Commitment to Latina/o Academic Success and Excellence (CLASE) at Fresno State. In that position, she helped students with academic advising and also assisted in whatever else was needed during the inception of this program. Lily also worked at the Psychology Advising Office at Fresno State as a Graduate Intern Advisor before landing her current position with the Craig School of Business in 2013.  Lily is an UndocU Ally, VetNet Ally, and Safe Zone Ally.

Education: Lily is a two-time graduate of Fresno State, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration-Human Resource Management option and her Master of Science in Counseling-Counseling and Student Services option.

Personal: Lily was born and raised in southern Monterey County.  She moved here to attend Fresno State and has lived here ever since.  Lily and her husband have a seven year old son.  She enjoys playing video games with her son, catching up on her favorite t.v. shows, and going for walks on campus.

Danielle Quiroga

Experience: Danielle joined the Business Advising and Student Experiences (B.A.S.E) team in 2017. She previously worked at the University of California, Merced as an Academic Advisor in their largest school with 12 majors and 12 minors she advised. Prior to becoming an Academic Advisor, Danielle worked as a Cal-SOAP liaison partnering California State University, Bakersfield with the surrounding area to assist rural schools in completing the FAFSA and applying to secondary education. She also worked as a Health Educator Intern through California State University, Bakersfield’s Health Center providing outreach support for health issues. Danielle is a UndocU Ally and a VetNet Ally. 

Education: Danielle is a product of the California State University system. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree for Liberal Studies in 2011 from Fresno State. She moved south of the valley to California State University, Bakersfield to obtain her Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling for Student Affairs in 2013 where she was awarded the Dr. Niles Carlson Outstanding Student Award. She recently completed a Master of Science in Criminology, at California State University, Fresno, where her graduate project "Adversity Ally Training" was selected as the College of Social Sciences "Outstanding Graduate Project" for 2022. 

Personal: Danielle enjoys spending time with her family, her service companion, Oaklee, and being outdoors. Danielle is active in competitive archery, crafting, all things Harry Potter and baking all the sweet treats.

Oaklee Ann

Oaklee is a Goldendoodle who came into our office in 2018 and is assisting her owner with anxiety and PTSD. Oaklee loves chasing the squirrels around campus at lunch and watching the birds out the window. Her favorite activities include long naps, belly rubs and giving high fives for all the treats. Oaklee also has an honorary graduate degree in criminology.

Priscilla GilletteBerg
Pronouns: She/ Her/ Ella 
Academic Advisor

Experience: Priscilla has worked on the Fresno State campus
since 2015 as a student assistant. In 2018 she became staff working with
students with disabilities and has now joined the Craig School of Business January
2024. Priscilla continues to serve as an advocate for students with
disabilities and is currently apart of the SSD Consultation Board. Prior to CSB
she was part of the Professional Growth and Leadership Academy, served on
multiple hiring committees, and earned the Central California WESTOP TRIO
Advocate of the Year in 2020. Priscilla is an UnDocu Ally, Vet Net Ally, and
Safe Zone Ally. 

Education: Priscilla is a two-time alumna of Fresno State
earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Counseling.
Most of her graduate educational background is in therapy but holds nine years
of experience working in Higher Ed. 

Personal: Priscilla is a wife to her high school sweetheart
and a mother to a toddler. She enjoys spending time with her family, catching
up on binge worthy shows, reading a good book, making handmade polymer clay
earrings, cooking/baking for her family, taking long drives to the coast, and going
on an adventure to explore nature.

Rebecka Satterlee

Experience: Rebecka joined the Business Advising and Student Experiences (B.A.S.E.) in 2024. She previously worked at the University of Guam as an academic advisor for TRIO Educational Talent Search. Rebecka has worked in education since 2014 and has extensive, progressive experience working with all ages of students ranging from preschool to higher education aged students.

Education: Rebecka is a first-generation college student having graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University in 2020 with a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. She also earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma in 2017.

Personal: Rebecka is originally from Oklahoma where she met her high school sweetheart, Nicholas, and has been married since 2019. Rebecka has two dogs, a husky named Nova and a mixed breed named Koda who she rescued from Guam in 2021. Rebecka is a military spouse with her husband serving as a helicopter pilot in the Navy. Rebecka loves to travel, visiting 7 countries and 29 states with her husband. Rebecka is also an avid hiker and enjoys anything outdoors.

Experience: Delia has worked for public California universities since 2000 with stops at UC Santa Barbara, UC Santa Cruz and San Jose State before finding her home at Fresno State. Previously, she worked for University Outreach where she traveled the state recruiting for the bulldogs and developed digital communication plans for potential and incoming students. It was also in this position that she worked directly with the Craig School of Business as the assigned outreach liaison. After raising her two young children, she returned to Fresno State in 2017 as faculty in the Office of Student Professional Development. She teaches CSB 150/Strategies for Success, BA 189T/Work-Integrated Learning, and assists with the Internship Program. 

Education: Bachelor of Arts, Communication from UC Santa Barbara and Master of Arts, Education (Higher Education Leadership) from San Jose State Univeristy. 

Personally: Delia was born and raised in Fresno, CA. She is married to a two-time Craig School of Business graduate and they have two school-aged children. In her spare time, she enjoys creating things with needles (knitting, cross-stitch), spending time in Yosemite or at the coast, and yoga.

Mimi Nino

Experience : Mimi joined Craig School of Business February 2022 supporting the Economics and Marketing & Logistics departments. She was part of the initial transition to Academic Program Support (student support). Prior to working for Fresno State Mimi worked two years for a family residency program, and eight years for k-12 education, all while starting her own cookie business. 

Education: Mimi graduated from University of Phoenix in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Marketing. 

Personal: Born in San Fernando Valley, raised in Woodinville WA and Fresno. She enjoys spending time with her family and four rescued fur babies. She also enjoys sharing her talents teaching her girls and others with cookie classes.

Esther Gomez

Experience: Esther joined the Student Support Team at the Craig School of Business in January of 2023 after having worked on campus since April of 2022. Prior to working at Fresno State, she worked for various non-profits, the last one being a membership association for mental health professionals.
 
Education: Esther graduated from Fresno State in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chicano Studies.

Personal: Esther was born and raised in Fresno. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and fur babies, Kid Bubbi (dog) and Little One (cat).

Canvas is Fresno States learning management system which allows students to access their courses to submit assignments, participate in discussions, view grades and course materials, access to course calendars, To Do items, notifications, and Conversations messages.

DISCOVERe infuses mobile technology into the classroom experience, providing students with engaging material through the use of laptops, tablets or smartphones. By integrating technology throughout the academic experience, students can master digital literacy skills that are becoming increasingly critical for jobs in today's workplace.

The DISCOVERe Hub is a place where anyone can receive assistance or training with their mobile devices or apps. The DISCOVERe Hub is currently deploying iPad tablets and hotspot devices to students who need them during the transition to online learning. FRESHMAN GE ePORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT

TRANSFER GE ePORTFOLIO REQUIREMENT

If you started attending Fresno State as a freshman or transfer student in Fall 2018 or more recently you are required to submit to the GE Program Portfolio for specific General Education areas.

You will automatically be enrolled in a GE Program Portfolio Canvas course to complete this requirement where you'll upload artifacts that were previously assigned in specific GE courses (assignments such as papers, recorded speeches, PowerPoints, quizzes, presentations, analytical essays, etc.).

GE Program Portfolio Requirement

Freshmen will submit an assignment from every GE course they take at Fresno State and write three reflections of at least three hundred words.

Transfer students will ONLY submit assignments from the three upper-division GE course that they take (IB, IC, ID) and write one reflection of at least three hundred words.

Students will not submit assignments to GE Areas for which they have AP, IB, Exam, or Transfer Credit and will just ignore these areas in the GE Program Portfolio.

Zoom, Fresno State's new video and web conferencing tool, is now available to all students, faculty, and staff. It can be used from any computer, laptop, tablet, or phone, and it works on PC, Mac, Android and iOS devices. Any Fresno State user can initiate a video or audio meeting, allowing Zoom to be used for any online meeting, whether between two or many people. Anyone in the world can join a Zoom meeting, but only a host can start/schedule meetings.

Fresno State Faculty, Students, and Staff: Use your Fresno State ID and password to sign in to your host account. No account request required!

Loaning tech devices for your study. Reservation for pick up is needed.
