MPH News!

Dear Students and Community:

We are very happy to announce that our Master of Public Health Program at Fresno State has received seven year full accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).  In compliance with the CEPH disclosure provisions, we are required to make the official accreditation report available to the public within 60 days following the accreditation decision.  Our program received the accreditation confirmation letter on October 7, 2013 and is making the corresponding documents (self-study, April 21-2013 first draft accreditation report fromn CEPH, August 9-2013 response letter from Fresno State MPH program, September 21-2013 final accreditation report, and October 7-2013 confirmation letters) available for your review via email or regular mail and have been posted in our MPH website.  People with disabilities who need special accommodations for the report, please contact Dr. Helda Pinzon-Perez, MPH Director, at hpinzonp@csufresno or call (559) 278-5329. The final accreditation official report is also available on request from CEPH after 60 days of the accreditation decision.

On behalf of our university, the faculty in the College of Health and Human Services, and students and faculty in the Department of Public Health at California State University, Fresno I want to express our highest gratitude to CEPH for their kind decision of granting accreditation to our Master of Public Health (MPH) Program for a seven-year term.  We are deeply honored by this decision and acknowledgement of the efforts undertaken by our MPH program and our College to improve the quality of our MPH.  We are very happy to have full accreditation status and remain very committed to maintain it. Our highest gratitude to Dr. Vickie Krenz, Dr. Miguel Perez, and Ms. Diana Valdovinos for their leadership in the accreditation process.  Also, special thanks to all the employers, community members, and students who participated in the various meetings scheduled with the accreditation review team on March 21 and 22, 2013.
